Our new campaign trailer breaks down every facet of the 100+ hours that can easily be spent in Armada 2’s single-player offerings. On top of skirmish and multiplayer, Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 comes with three full grand campaigns letting you control humanity’s combined Imperial forces, the ancient re-awakening Necron empire, or the ravenous extra-galactic horde of the Tyranid Hive Fleets. This will help you avoid some of the more annoying bugs currently affecting the co-op and hopefully prevent you from needing to repeat doing anything, but as always save often! Try to remember that it is early access and there will be bugs.Stunning space RTS sequel Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 launches January 24, 2019, bringing all the chaos and destruction of Warhammer 40,000 fleet battles to PC. I won't go into depth for some of the bugs you will encounter, but if the guest player ever disconnects back to the main menu, the host should save the game, quit to the menu, and relaunch from the latest save. As a guest player, you can think of yourself as second in command. I think the host retains the ability to take ships back that have been assigned as only the guest player's.įor best experience, you should be on comms with your buddy and discuss what to do/upgrade together. Each ship can be selected as player 1s, player 2s, or both. Even if you try and whittle the enemy down with autoresolves, itll take 2-3 tries, assuming the enemy doesnt reinforce or repair, which they usually do. In a battle, the host player also decides which player controls which ship. I despise the implementation of minefields, which makes it so only 2 of your fleets can enter a system instead of 3. The host is the only player that can decide to initiate battles. Once the fleet is deselected, it is available for either player to interact with. AFAIK, they cannot spend resources/upgrade points on ships, but they can buy system upgrades (defense platforms etc) and planet evolutions.Ī player selecting a fleet locks them to that player, as such two players cannot select and attempt to move the same fleet. ![]() Keep in mind that the co-op campaign is in early access, so there are some features that are not fully implemented yet.Īs a guest player on the campaign map, they can move their own camera freely independent of what screens/systems the host player is in/controlling. ![]() I have played about 60 hours of co-op campaign so I will do my best to give you the full rundown, I have only been a guest player so I do'nt know what goes on on the host side too well though.
